Terms and Conditions
General Tours and Conditions:
Please read the following information carefully, as the terms and conditions described herein constitute an agreement between you and PassagesEDU. If you decide to travel with PassagesEDU and make payment on a Journey, you hereby agree to accept the terms and conditions of this contract.
Passports, Visa, Health Regulations:
A passport is your ticket to travel the world. All U.S. citizens, including children, are required to obtain passports in their own names for identification while traveling abroad and for re-entry into the United States. Many countries around the world also require a visa for entry into their countries. We recommend using a visa service to obtain information regarding entry requirements into other countries or for assistance with any passport situation. Visas and Passports 2 Go is our recommended service located in Washington, D.C., call 800-598-7240 or visit their website: https://vp2go.com/default.aspx
All U.S. citizens should register with the U.S. State Department for travel outside the United States. Please visit their website for registration: https://step.state.gov/step/
For information concerning possible dangers at destinations, PassagesEDU recommends contacting the Travel Warnings Section of the U.S. State Department at (202) 647-5225
For medical information, PassagesEDU recommends contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or http://www.cdc.gov/travel.
You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s).
Many insurance policies will not cover care outside of the United States. PassagesEDU recommends the purchase of travel insurance to cover any heath issues while you are traveling.
PassagesEDU and various tour operators and cruise lines agree to arrange the Journeys described on our websites and our brochures which represent the entire agreement between the passenger and their Journey Associate, the Journey Host, tour and travel suppliers, and PassagesEDU. Except for the willful negligence of its direct employees, PassagesEDU assumes no liability or responsibility for any injuries, inconveniences, illness or irregularity or incidental damages occasioned by circumstances beyond the control of PassagesEDU or any person or reason whatsoever, including, but not limited to, airports or hotels, or omission of any common or private carrier or the default, negligence, or omission of and by any third party providing services or facilities related to or included in this tour or any part thereof, or in arranging for the same, or the acts or omissions of the Tour Host. PassagesEDU/Dehoney Travel and our suppliers have no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, political conditions, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. Your personal information, including but not limited to, your legal name, date of birth, and passport details will be shared as needed with travel suppliers in order to properly book and manage your travel arrangements. You hereby release DT/PassagesEDU from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph.
No person, other than an authorized representative of DT/PassagesEDU by a document in writing, is authorized to vary, add, or waive any term or condition in this brochure, including any term or condition set forth in the preceding provisions.
Deposit, Payment and Cancellation Policies:
A deposit as outlined on all our Journeys is required at the time of booking. Once the deposit is received you will be contacted by one of our Journey Associates with your payment schedule. We highly recommend the purchase of travel insurance to protect your Journey investment. Our travel insurance partner will waive any pre-existing conditions if insurance is purchased within 14 days of the date of your deposit. Cancellation penalties for our Journeys begin 120 days prior to departure except for our Oberammergau Journey. Cancellation penalties for Oberammergau will begin on July 19, 2019 as outlined on the Journey itinerary.
Upon written notice of cancelation, PassagesEDU will contact suppliers and assess your penalty. Refunds may take up to 6 weeks after cancellation. Travel insurance is highly recommended for all our Journeys.
Journey Prices and Itinerary Alterations:
All Journey prices are quoted based on information received from our various travel partners. PassagesEDU cannot be held responsible for any changes that may occur and reserves the right to adjust the price of any travel arrangements up to the date of departure. This includes but not limited to, exchange rate adjustments, fuel surcharges, and airfare increases.
PassagesEDU reserves the right to modify, alter, or substitute all or any part of its services when reasonably necessary or advisable. Every effort will be made to adhere to the services outlined in our Journeys; however, occasionally circumstances may require alternate arrangements in accommodations, schedules, itineraries, hours of arrival and departure, air schedules and special programs are subject to change without notice at any time. PassagesEDU will not under any circumstances be liable for refunds due to modifications of altered services.
